What is a telehealth visit?
A telehealth visit is a secure, private video appointment with your provider. You can discuss symptoms, review lab results, and manage prescriptions using your smartphone, tablet, or computer.
What types of appointments can be done virtually?
Telehealth is ideal for follow-up visits, mental health screenings, medication management, and minor issues like rashes or cold symptoms.
When should I come into the clinic instead?
You should book an on-site visit for anything requiring a physical exam, vaccinations, or diagnostic tests (like blood work or EKG). If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please visit an Urgent Care or ER immediately.
Is my telehealth visit secure?
Yes. We use HIPAA-compliant platforms to ensure your personal health information remains encrypted and private during your session.
Does insurance cover virtual visits?
Most major insurers, including Medicare and Medicaid, cover telehealth services just like in-person visits. We recommend verifying your specific telehealth benefits with your provider before your call.
How do I prepare for my virtual appointment?
Find a quiet, well-lit space with a strong internet connection. Log in to our Patient Portal five minutes early and have your current medications and a thermometer/blood pressure cuff (if available) nearby.
